Wayne Bramble
Hi guys there has been a bit of a change to the racing on 26th &27th June. NEW,Schedule, Saturday 26th is a two man two hour Porsche Cup race Sunday. 27th is a three man 8 hour GT3 race Schedule. Saturday 6pm Qualify Porsche Cup cars 6.30 Start Racing This is for two man teams, and we will take the first 12 teams to enter. So this means that we will run a round robin race 9 up to 12 teams Once we know how many teams we have we can work out the lengths of the heats. This means if we have 12 teams the heats will be 10 min long.we just want the race to go for two hours not run all night. Normal National Porsche Cup rules ( Except you can run ball bearings front and back ) This is a byo 25000 motor Entry Fees are $30 per Teams Track is open from 12 noon, Yon can practice all day for $10 a person GT3 Schedule You May get your hand out motor ( 30000 ) from 12.30 if not happy with that motor you may buy another for $15 but must hand back the first motor and you get it back after the race. test and tune GT3 cars up to 4.30. Tech GT3 cars at 4.30 Qualify at 5.00 for lane choice in 8 hour After QUAL the cars will be impounded until start of race, you may oil, clean tyres, check and kiss body before the start of race. Entry Fee is $150 per team and this includes the first motor Sunday 27th shop opens at 9.00 Race starts at 9.30
FoxBox
FAT Racing for both Races. Also note guys that as the GT3 is 3 man teams and the Porsche Cup 2 man teams this will mean a bit of juggling for team formation. For example: - FAT Racing is Fox, Stoo and Darryl for the GT3 and Team OZ is Wayne, Cody and Troy. Cody and Troy will team for the Porsche Cup and Wayne will team one of FAT Racing to form FATOZ (or OZFAT or whatever). Thus 2 GT3 Teams form 3 Porsche Cup Teams. Gearing remains at 12/44 which worked sensationally for the 6 hour Also we will be using the track call system for driver change in both races. FoxBox
GT3 - Update on entry fee and motors. Entry Fee will now be $165 per team (i.e. - $55 each). This includes the cost of 2 handout motors which will be available from 12:30 on Saturday once the race fee has been paid. You therefore have 4 hours to run in and test prior to GT3 Tech. There seems to be a slight contradiction between the posts about the motors.
FoxBox
Hi Guys Please note that the change is an update on proceedings outlined in the original post as noted: Quote GT3 - Update on entry fee and motors. So you get 2 motors to test and decide on rather than 1 and then possibly take the gamble of swapping it on payment of $15. FoxBox
All good Jack, Organising these races is like rounding up cats - but we get there. As you can see from the posts there has not been a lot of information forthcoming from the various participants and Wayne and I have been doing a lot of chasing to try and get who is with who - but hey we are only human and as time goes by I have lost my mind reading powers. So as far as I can recall/surmise/guess/intuit - this is the situation for the Porsche Cup race: - Stoo & Wayne B Cody & Troy Fox & Axman Noel & Stephen Rodney & John V Pierre & John Dale & David JJ & Vito (or Clinton - no idea) Brad & Jake Jack & Paul Darryl - Sitting out Ian R - Sitting out We may have Gregg T turning up to race - is either Vito or Clinton spare??? Please help me if you have further information or corrections. See you all there. Cheers 1
Stoo23
Well, thanks for all the effort etc,... but somehow I Still feel it would have been Far simpler / easier and IMHO Better, if the Porsche Race was kept simply as a Single Driver Sprint race !! Would have made it Far easier to organize and with a bit of Extra discussion, I am sure we could have worked out a suitable 'Program' & Timing with James. So Many of these Scale type events are ALL 'Teams' Events,.. apart from the eventual GT3 class,.. which Not everyone had anyway,.. and With the Following GT3 Team event,.. a simple 'Sprint' with the Porsche cars Would have added to the Variety of the Weekend I believe
